Vivienne Mackinder

The Hairdresser's – Hairdresser. Commonly referred to as “industry royalty,” Vivienne Mackinder is one of the most highly respected international leaders and innovators in the hairdressing profession today. Vivienne is driven by her own mission to continually hone her artistry and creativity, as well as raise the industry’s educational bar to Ivy League standards. Currently based in the Hamptons, New York, Vivienne grew up in London where she attended the London College of Fashion. Upon graduating she immediately landed a position with Vidal Sassoon, where, she, eventually, rose to Artistic Director. In 1990, she left London for the U.S. as International Creative Director for Trevor Sorbie. Vivienne is a highly in-demand featured guest artist and educator for premier events world-wide. Her work is consistently published in the international press. As a session stylist, she’s frequently contributed to runway shows, working as key hairdresser behind the scenes with Vivienne Westwood, VH1 and MTV awards, and showcasing the Oscar-award winning looks of Edith Head during Paris, London and New York fashion weeks.. Her work has been seen on Lifetime, the Discovery Channel, NBC’s Today Show, MTV, VH1, Entertainment Tonight, and even QVC. She’s worked with well-known celebrities, such as Katie Couric, Ricky Martin, Ricky Lake, Boy George, and Princess Cecile Bourbon. Her career as a master stylist has been decorated with an enormous amount of successes and achievements. Vivienne now devotes the majority of her time as co-founder of HairDesignerTV.com (HDTV) a post-graduate training system enabling the working professional to advance their skills anywhere with online access.
